Lloyd Reynolds was our calligraphy teacher at Reed College. We designed Apple Chancery based on his teaching of Chancery Cursive. Here is a comparison of a page from Reynolds' Italic Calligraphy and Handwriting and approximately the same layout in Apple Chancery.
